As a Lactation Consultant, Infant Massage Instructor, and birth/postpartum Doula I found myself becoming an adoptive doula by chance. A family had asked me to help them in their induced lactation journey and this led to asking me to attend their birth as well. During that birth my “ah ha” moment hit. That is what I am supposed to do. A Doula for every mother.
